KESS LOGO

Some have asked about the KESS logo.

The symbol below KESS is the ancient letter “Mem”.  Which has the dual usages as symbolizing “Water”, (you can easily see the waves). Water in Hebrew is Mayim/מים.  The second character usage is the “M” sound used in all words. 

This is the first true and oldest alphabet which is at least 4,000 years old (probably older) based upon writings found very recently in the 1990’s in Sinai caves.   All other prior writing systems were based upon a large character set of hundreds, thousands, and tens of thousands of symbols.  Hebrew today is only 22 characters. (Then a bit more, perhaps 24).  The significance of this is critically important.  It means that for the very first time in human history, everyone could learn to read and write, not only the upper class and scribes.

Greek was/is a direct derivative of this alphabet, then later Latin and English.

This alphabet is known by many names.  Paleo-Hebrew, Proto Semitic, Proto Sinaitic, Phoenician, Proto-Canaanite, etc…  In Hebrew the first letters are Alef, Beyt…where we get our alpha-bet.
